If your Bigpond email account using Outlook is working… then leave well alone.
Ignore any email messages (supposedly from Telstra) that you need to change settings or will be cut off
If you receive ANY emails from Bigpond or Telstra asking you to “click on this link” or “click on this button” etc…. ignore them, they are a scam and will try to hijack and take over your Telstra/Bigpond account.
Again, be very careful and abide by the golden rule
“If it ain’t broken …. don’t try and fix it”
If you are having problems sending and receieving bigpond emails, it could be due to the fact that a scammer is trying to reset your password to gain access to your account which will often lock out your account.
The only way of testing this is to login to your Telstra account yourself, with your password and confirm it by receiving a code by SMS.

Login with your normal telstra password
But to access your emails using Outlook you will need to follow this instructions and get an “App specific password”
