If you’ve made the decision to pay The Messaging Company (TMC) and keep your iiNet/Westnet email active, you should be aware of some changes that you may need to make for the emails to remain active on iPhone/iPad/Android SmartPhones and Outlook for Windows or Outlook for Mac
- Adding iiNet/Westnet emails from TMC to iPhone or iPad

- Adding iiNet/Westnet emails from TMC to Apple Mail
Accessing emails via Webmail remains unchanged and is jut a matter of logging into your webmail account as you have always done. The following shows how to access those mails using a smartphone, iPad or the 365 Outlook for Windows Program.
Adding iiNet/Westnet emails from TMC to iPhone or iPad
Step 1. Delete existing accounts
on iPhone or iPad, Goto Settings > Mail > Accounts …. delete any existing iiNet/Westnet accounts by clicking on the account, scroll to the bottom of page and hit “Delete Account”
Step 2. Add Back Account
Goto Settings > Mail > Accounts ….”Add Account” > “Add Mail Account”

select “Other”

Enter your full iiNet/Westnet email address and password and click “Next”

If you are lucky the account will “Verify” correctly, else add the following details for the Incoming and Outgoing mail servers
Incoming Mail Server settings
Enter – Host Name: imap.themessagingco.com.au and full username and password

Outgoing Mail Server settings
Enter – Host Name: smtp.themessagingco.com.au and full username and password

Then click “next” in top right of phone screen, and wait for the settings to “Verify”
Adding iiNet/Westnet emails from TMC to Android Device
Use the following settings
Incoming Mail Server
| Username: | Your email address |
| Server: | imap.themessagingco.com.au |
| Server Port: | 993 |
| Security Type: | SSL/TLS |
Outgoing Mail Server
| Username: | Your email address | ||
| Server: | smtp.themessagingco.com.au | ||
| Server Port: | 465 | OR | 587 |
| Security Type: | SSL/TLS | STARTTLS | |
Adding iiNet/Westnet emails from TMC to Outlook for Windows or Mac
- Open the Microsoft Outlook application on your computer
- Select File > Add Account
Enter email address

3. Choose Advanced options > Let me setup my account manually

Select “Connect”
4. Under Advanced Setup select “IMAP”

5. Enter IMAP Server settings

Select Next
6. Now enter your password

Enter Connect. If your password is correct, the account will be added
If there is an error, check your password is correct by logging into Webmail and testing the password there. If it does not work in webmail, then you will need to reset it.

Adding iiNet/Westnet emails from TMC to Apple Mail
Older Apple Mac OS (High Sierra) will not allow you to connect TMC mail accounts. However there is no problem on newer M1, M2, M3, M4 processors running the latest Mac OS.
- Open up the Mail application on your computer
- Select Mail at the top of your screen
- Select Add Account
- Select Other Mail Account then select Continue
- Enter your name in the Name field
Tip!
Your name is the the name your recipients will see when they receive an email from you. - Enter your email address in the Email Address field
- Enter your password in the Password field
- Select Sign In
