When moving to a new device or simply for the sake of security it is always good to export passwords to another format for backup to OneDrive or a USB or External Hard Drive. We show you how to do so for Microsoft Edge
- Open Microsoft Edge and Sign in if required …click on the “…”

2. In Microsoft Edge browser, goto “Settings”

3. In Microsoft Edge browser settings goto “Settings” > “Passwords”

4. Select the “…” next to the “Add Password” button

5. Select “Export passwords”Open Microsoft Edge and Sign in if required …click on the “…”


6. Choose a location to save the CSV export file, such as “Desktop” or “Documents” as these locations will be backed up by OneDrive. Do NOT save to “Downloads”

We strongly suggest saving all of the export files in your Documents folder and then using OneDrive to backup those files.
