How to Backup/Archive to External Drive or USB Flash Drive using the legacy “File History” app, hidden but still active in Win 10 and 11
In the search box type “File History” and open the App (Can also be found under “Control Panel”)
When first used you will find “File History” turned “Off” we need to select the drive to receive the backup and possibly schedule a backup schedule
Select the drive to receive the backup … this can be a local file or a network location
Click Advanced Settings …. and select when the backups are to be run
Once turned on … you can see the backup progressing
