Don’t PANIC it’s NOT Microsoft that is the issue here …. but a smaller Cyber Security (think Anti-Virus program) called CrowdStrike that caused all these issues …. I think they just lost a lot of customers.
A cyber-security company called CrowdStrike just caused major IT outages worldwide by causing corporate computers and servers worldwide to crash.
Unfortunately rebooting them simply did not work until the “bad-update” was removed.
Crowdstrike is a software which is supposed to detect, stop and contain, Malware and hacking attempts and is a major player in corporate computer systems around the world. Its a sophisticated “Anti-Virus” program such as Nortons, McAfee etc.
Individual Windows Computers (Windows 10, Windows 11) are not affected and they only way individual’s are impacted is when Banks, Airlines, Government computer systems stop working and denying access to their services.
Crowdstrike’s main rivals including Microsoft (Defender) and SentinelOne, are sure to gain a lot of customers due to this monumental error by Cloudstrike.
