Depending on the speed of your internet, performing the initial setup and installing updates can take up to 3 hours.
** iTechwa will receive the Windows 11 device from the supplier, run and install all updates before shipping the device to you for final setup and/or data transfer.
*** Purchasing a new Windows 11 device through a 3rd party, may save you money on the purchase price but may cost you more in setup fees because the updates need to be run remotely with multiple remote sessions over many days.

- We receive the device from our supplier and perform full Windows, Firmware and Device updates and setup before we ship it directly to you.
- We also make sure you have the correct adapters shipped (if a tower or PC computer)
- When the device reaches you, we will remote into it using Quick Assist, set up the new user account and connect to printers and peripherals and install updates and programs as discussed
- You will only incur our consultancy fees for the time we are on the telephone or in an active remote session. Most of the time involved in this process will be time waiting for updates and restarts and you will NOT be charged for that time as we will not be actively involved in your upgrade project but helping and charging other clients.

This will take a few hours and will involve a number of phone calls over a day or two. Speed will be determined by how old the Windows 11 OS is and your internet speed.
- We will remote into your Windows 11 device and setup the new user account and connect to printers and peripherals and install updates and programs as discussed.

- Due to the high security settings employed by Apple it is very difficult to remotely control an Apple Mac or MacBook.
- Remote control is only possible using built-in “FaceTime” or a software called “TeamViewer” which if not already installed, will need to be installed by the user.
- In circumstances where FaceTime or Teamviewer cannot be used, we will attempt to guide the user with instructions over the telephone
- With a remote control session we can assist with setting up email accounts, connecting printers and peripherals, timemachine backups and installing third party software such as Microsoft Office and Google Chrome
- You will only incur our consultancy fees for the time we are on the telephone or in an active remote session.
